What we do

Everything we offer,
all in one place.

We don't believe in siloing people into service categories. Most of what we do weaves together — trauma and identity, recovery and relationships. Browse what resonates.

A space that's
just for you.

Individual therapy is a dedicated hour — or 50 minutes, technically — where the whole point is you. Not your productivity, not how you're showing up for others. Just what's actually going on.

Our therapists use a trauma-informed, collaborative approach. We're going to figure out together what's actually useful, and adjust as we go.

  • Anxiety, depression, and mood
  • Trauma and PTSD processing
  • Identity, sexuality, and gender exploration
  • Life transitions and relationship challenges
  • ADHD and neurodivergent experiences
  • Addiction and recovery support
  • Grief and loss

Trauma doesn't have to
live in your body forever.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy for trauma that works differently than talk therapy. Instead of just talking about what happened, EMDR helps your brain process and integrate traumatic memories — reducing their emotional charge.

Our approach integrates EMDR with Internal Family Systems (IFS) and narrative therapy, tailored to what feels safe and effective for you. We don't rush the process.

  • Single-incident trauma and complex PTSD
  • Combat and first responder trauma
  • Childhood and relational trauma
  • Trauma from discrimination or minority stress
  • Anxiety rooted in past experiences
  • Dissociation and somatic symptoms
EMDR is offered by Hannah Drury (EMDR Trained) and Joe Lenhoff (EMDR & ART Trained).

You shouldn't have to
educate your therapist.

Affirming therapy means your identity isn't the problem to be solved — it's the foundation we build from. Our clinicians have genuine competency across the full spectrum of gender identity and sexual orientation, not just checkbox awareness.

We work with LGBTQ+ clients on everything from identity exploration and coming out to minority stress, family ruptures, relationship dynamics, and the compounded weight of navigating hostile systems while also trying to just live your life.

  • Gender identity exploration and transition support
  • Coming out — at any age, in any context
  • Minority stress and discrimination processing
  • LGBTQ+ family and relationship dynamics
  • Intersecting identities — race, disability, neurodivergence
  • Kink and non-monogamy affirming
  • Sex-positive, shame-free approach

Your brain isn't
a problem to fix.

Neurodivergent-affirming therapy starts from the premise that ADHD, autism, and other neurological differences aren't disorders to be corrected — they're ways of being that come with real strengths and real challenges, especially in a world not designed for them.

We don't try to make neurodivergent clients neurotypical. We help them understand themselves, develop strategies that work for how their brain actually operates, and process the accumulated weight of masking, misdiagnosis, and systems that failed them.

  • ADHD — diagnosed or suspected, in adults and adolescents
  • Autism spectrum experiences
  • Late-identified and self-identified neurodivergence
  • Masking, burnout, and identity after diagnosis
  • Sensory processing and emotional regulation
  • Executive function and life structure support

For relationships doing
the hard work.

Couples therapy at HHT isn't about keeping the peace or assigning blame. It's about helping two people understand themselves and each other more clearly — and deciding together what they want to build from there.

We work with couples of all configurations — same-sex, different-sex, non-monogamous, long-term, newly formed. We're affirming across relationship structures and don't operate from a "preserve the relationship at all costs" framework.

  • Communication and conflict patterns
  • Trust and repair after ruptures
  • Intimacy and connection
  • Navigating non-monogamy and relationship structures
  • Pre-marital and life transition work
  • Trauma's impact on relationships
Couples therapy at HHT is offered by Ron Youngblut, LMSW and Dami Ezekiel, LMSW.

More time means
deeper work.

Sometimes a 50-minute weekly session isn't enough. Intensives are extended therapy sessions — half-day or multi-day — designed to go deeper than the weekly model allows, especially for trauma processing with EMDR or ART.

Each intensive is built around your specific goals. The format strips away the check-in and wrap-up overhead of regular sessions, leaving more time for the actual work. They're particularly effective for people who feel stuck, want to accelerate progress, or are navigating a significant life transition.

  • Complex and incident trauma processing
  • EMDR and ART in extended format
  • Focused goal-setting over a condensed period
  • Jumpstart for clients new to therapy
  • Complement to ongoing weekly therapy
Note: Intensives are self-pay only — insurance does not cover extended sessions. Each intensive includes a Foundation Session (90 min) for history and goal-setting, the intensive hours, and a follow-up session within 6 months. Contact us for current pricing.

Things people ask us.

Do I need a diagnosis to start therapy?
No. You don't need a diagnosis, a referral, or a specific "reason" to start therapy. If you're curious whether it might help, that's enough.
What's the difference between in-person and telehealth?
Both formats use the same clinical approach. In-person sessions take place at our office at 1533 Heights Blvd. Telehealth is available via secure video for anyone in Texas — same therapist, same work, more flexibility.
How long does therapy take?
It depends entirely on what you're working on and what you want from therapy. Some people come for 3–6 months around a specific issue. Others work with a therapist for years. We don't push length in either direction — you set the pace.
What if I'm not sure which service is right for me?
That's exactly what the free 20-minute consultation is for. You don't need to show up with a clear diagnosis or service request — just tell us what's going on, and we'll help figure out what makes sense.
Are your therapists actually affirming, or just "ally"-affirming?
We mean it substantively. Our clinicians have real training and experience working with LGBTQ+ clients, including kink and non-monogamy affirming practice. You won't be asked to explain basic concepts or navigate a therapist's discomfort with your identity.

Not sure where to start?

The consultation is free and takes 20 minutes. Tell us what's going on — we'll help figure out what fits.
